About Us
RIDE Cyclery is a family-run bike shop in Encinitas, California. We specialize in bike repair and offer a full range of services catering to every kind of rider, whether you're getting to school or work, cruising the beach, or crushing centuries, we're here to keep you rolling! We also have a selection of premium electric bikes and road bikes available for rent to help anyone and everyone get and explore the wide range of fantastic rides we have here in North County.

As service is our primary directive we are committed to providing unparalleled expertise and service exclusively focused on the bikes and electric bikes our community is riding. We are avid cyclists ourselves riding everything from the latest and greatest road & mountain bikes to throttle powered electric bikes and we understand that owning a bicycle comes with its fair share of maintenance challenges. That's why we've designed our shop to cater exclusively to the needs of riders in our community who seek expert care and attention for their bikes. While other shops may offer a range of products, our singular focus enables us to offer specialized services that go above and beyond what most shops are capable of providing.
RIDE has grown out of a long history in the community. Opened originally as McDougall’s in the 1990s, it later became Dan’s Coast Cyclery. After a tragic fire at the restaurant next door, the shop was rebuilt and reopened as an Electra concept store, before changing again to Encinitas Bicycle Retailer before the current owners Brent and Amie Garrigus took the reigns in 2010 and turned local history into a new idea for the shop’s future and RIDE Cyclery was born.
RIDE Cyclery’s doors are always open to community members wishing to start a group ride or host an event, even after hours. The team at RIDE Cyclery can fix up a bike that has been around for a while and they’re familiar with all the latest in technology and equipment, too. From repairs, to accessories, and rentals, and no matter your age, preference, or experience level, It’s All About The Ride.
